Key Steps in Renewing Your RTO Registration
Prepare Early
ASQA recommends that you apply for renewal at least 90 days before your registration expiry. Late applications risk lapses or de-registration.

ASQA may conduct a compliance audit as part of your renewal process, especially if you’ve had non-compliances in the past, a change of scope, or complaints lodged.
Receive Decision and Continue Operations
If approved, your RTO’s registration is extended usually for 5 to 7 years, based on your performance and risk rating.
Submit the Renewal Application
Apply online through ASQA’s portal. You’ll need to:

- Submit updated documents
- Pay the renewal application fee (approx. $1,600–$2,000, check ASQA for updates)
Update Your Training and Assessment Strategies (TAS)
